Privacy, Terms & Your Data

Short, plain answers about what this app knows and where it goes.

What stays only on your device

Your garage, mileage, maintenance history, reminders, checklists, and saved repair estimates are stored in this browser or app on your own device. They are not sent to us.

Because it lives on the device, that information can be lost if you clear your browser or app storage, remove the app, or move to a new device. There is no backup or sync yet — so keep anything critical written down somewhere else too.

What is sent to an AI provider

When you ask Chellie a question or type a repair into “Before I Pay”, that text is sent to an AI provider so a reply can be written. Keep personal details out of those messages — a year, make, model and symptom is all the help it needs.

What is stored in the app itself

  • If you choose to sign in (it is optional here), the email address and name you sign in with, used only to keep you signed in.
  • Vehicle photos you add: uploaded to this app’s private storage so they can be shown back to you. They are not public and are not shared with anyone else.
  • A message you send through Contact & support, which is emailed to the people who run this app.

Nothing else is collected. There is no advertising tracking and no selling of data.

Your account & your data

Chellie Doez Cars is a public app — you do not need an account, and the app does not create one for you to manage. Nothing about your car is stored on our side: it all lives on this device, and one button erases it.

This erases your garage, mileage, reminders, checklists and saved estimates from this device. It cannot be undone.

Terms of use

  • This app is personal automotive education. Use it, enjoy it, and treat it as a starting point rather than an instruction manual for your specific car.
  • Everything here is provided as-is, without warranty. Your vehicle manufacturer’s instructions always come first.
  • AI answers can be wrong or incomplete. Never rely on them for a safety decision — have a qualified technician inspect the car.
  • Do not use the app to harm anyone, and do not attempt repairs that put you in danger. Lifting a car, working underneath it, opening a hot cooling system, handling fuel, and touching high-voltage systems are professional jobs.
  • We may update the app and these terms as it grows. Continued use means you accept the current version.
